Szemből látjuk a csárda impozáns épületét. A jókora étteremre a parkolóból fotóztunk, ahogy megérkezünk. Középen lépcsőn lehet a főbejáraton bejutni. Az épület jobb oldalában található a rámpás bejárat. A parkoló sajnos kiskavicsos.

Bagoly/Owl Gastrocultural Experience Space

Mecseknádasd is located 30 km from Pécs. A beautiful village of Baranya hidden among the hills, tempting for excursions. Unmistakable is the Owl Restaurant along Highway 6. With its Hungarian "csárda" atmosphere, Hungarian and Swabian dishes and events, it is deservedly popular among locals, Pécs residents and transit travellers alike. The food is very tasty, the service is above average kind, smiling, polite.
It is not negligible that Karl Micro-Brewery also operates here.
The csárda consists of several different rooms, has a huge capacity, has two terraces and, most importantly, is barrier-free.

Upon arrival, the parking lot is unfortunately gravel, which is not suitable for wheelchairs. Luckily, you can park right in front of the barrier-free entrance, which can be a bit of a help. There is no separate barrier-free parking.
Wheelchair access is possible on the side of the building via the long ramp with a pleasant slope. First we arrive here on the side terrace. From here, we can also enter the inner restaurant space without barriers.
The flooring in the interior is plain stone, the wide, large interiors allow adequate room for manoeuvre even in a wheelchair.

The barrier-free toilet is located at the back of the interior, next to the separate room. Spacious room, its circular design makes it particularly pleasant. Its equipment is adequate, but at present it is a serious shortcoming that there are no handrails next to the toilet. We have been promised to make up for this as soon as possible.
Among the non-accessible toilets, one of the women's toilets also has a higher toilet bowl and handrails on the wall, which help older guests or guests with limited mobility.

There is also a 20-room pension above the restaurant, which was renovated in 2020. Unfortunately, access to it is not barrier-free, stairs lead up, so they do not have an accessible room either.

Website:
There is no separate menu item available on the site. The website is clear and easy to follow on both laptop and mobile phone. The menu items are readable and selectable, and the main content is separated by a heading. Descriptions should be provided for images for visual impared and blind guests. The menu is also not visible to the visually impaired people, since it is not displayed on the page in text format. The contrast ratio of the page is also difficult to follow for people with low vision.

Getting there:
it can be reached by car from Pécs on main road 6., in about 30 minutes. Right next to the road is the inn with a large parking lot. It is worth parking next to the right side of the building, from where the restaurant can be accessed without obstacles on a ramp and you do not have to bother with the gravel ground for a long time.

by bus from Pécs bus station by buses to Bonyhád. It takes about 1 hour to reach the csárda. Get off at the “Mecseknádasd ófalui elágazás” stop, 4 minutes on foot from here. Long-distance bus services are usually not wheelchair accessible, so check in advance.
