Barrier-free Tourism Day, for the fifth time

We organize the Barrier-free Tourism Day in the beutiful Orfű near Pécs this year again. As always on the first Saturday of September, that is 04.09. Between 10.00 and 16.00, we welcome everyone to the island, the Sports Camp and the Medvehagyma House. The main aim of the event is still to provide experiences for people with disabilities that they cannot otherwise experience in everyday life. In addition, our basic goal is to make people with disabilities and people with disabilities have fun together and get to know each other.

InnClusive programcatalog – form it together!

We're on! From 01.07.2021 our old dream starts: the "InnClusive" Community Space in Pécs. The basic purpose of this is to promote inculsion and independent living. We've come up with a lot of good programs for the next 3 years, but we won't start without you. We're excited about your ideas and comments!

People First Association in #pecsnyitva campaign

Would you like to come to Pécs on holiday? The Pécs open campaign of Pécs - which includes the People First Association - contributes to the development of post-epidemic tourism. We promote accessible tourism in the city with our Barrier-free Pécs (EN) database and the Hidden City Tor-Tour.

The website and the Barrier-free Pécs database have been renewed

As a result of our own development, the website and the Barrier-free Pécs database became nicer, better, smarter. We have made many changes to make it even easier to find truly accessible locations in Pécs and its surroundings. Read the article on what has all been renewed:

We are creating an Independent Living Centre in Pécs

We've been planning an international project for three years, and now it's coming to fruition! Can you imagine what that feels like? With the support of Aktion Mensch in Germany, we will create a community space in Pécs, which will act as the Independent Living Centre.

The international project linking art and disability has been launched

With today's kick-off meeting, i.e. the distribution of tasks, our international Erasmus+ project called ARTcoWorkers has begun. Today's meeting was originally scheduled to take place in Erfurt, Germany, but the pandemic intervened here too, so the project partners met online for the first time from Germany, Hungary, Macedonia and the Netherlands.

We finally got an answer from the Ombudsman

Last year on 31. July 2020. we send our complaint to tge Ombudsman. We indicated in it, that the practises of the institutions in Covid are very different. There are places where the elderly and disabled can be visited to this day, but in other places residents have to live locked for almost a year. The Ombudsman waited almost for the end of the third wave of Covid. But at least he answered. At length, in detail, politely, but.....

We participated in the city Tourism Roundtable

We can represent and spread accessible tourism in the tourism palette of the city.
